THAVAM
Our line of eponymous Sarees is all about vintage and tradition that encapsules the elegance and romance in fusion and formal Sarees made from kanjivaram weaves. It is fresh, young and wearable. Our label stands out for its bursts of vivacious colors, glamour, and easy to wear Sarees. Our philosophy lies in creating weaves from age old traditions and vintage embellishments of Kanchipuram.
Sensual colors, delicate two dimensional traditional motifs that includes a few of Elephants, Peacocks, Annam(Mystical bird), Iruthalai-Pakshi (two headed bird) and others with intricate thread work are highlighted with delicate hand-crafted weaves.
Founder
We have ventured into ths exciting path to exploring fashion through tradition. We would like to amplify a persona through our carefully curated weaves. Our design interests are an inspiration from our ancestors and our future designs will be sourced from the combined knowledge gained by working in top IT companies and universities of likes of Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT), Harvard University and IIT. Our Brand started when Anu wanted to try her creative hands on her long time guilty pleasure - Sarees. She's a connoisseur of handloom weaves so much so that she even designs them. Her creative skills and business acumen has lead to successful growth of this brand.
